Deliveroo Rider Tags

The Tags

The tags are small plastic stickers that restaurants can stick to their doorway or courier collection point. When a Deliveroo courier arrives to collect an order, they must tap the tag with their phone to check-in.

Riders will not be able to collect an order unless they have checked-in, and certain information about the order is also hidden until they have tapped.

Deliveroo have launched this in order to make courier tracking more accurate for restaurants and customers. For restaurants, it reduces Rider Wait Time by only starting the clock when the rider is definitely ready to collect the order as well as making Prep Time more accurate.

Getting Set Up

Sessions will either send you the tags in the post or, if we have a member of our culinary team visiting soon, will help set up the tags in person.

The Sessions Support team will need to be involved to activate your tags, but please make sure you only request activation of your tags after they are stuck down and available to couriers! The envelope the tags are sent in contains 2 tags, you will need both to get set up, but only one needs to be actually stuck down in the restaurant.

FAQs

  • I want the tags, how do I order them? Please let us know if you don't have any tags and want to get set up - Sessions Support can arrange this for you.

  • My tags don't work? If you are having problems with your tags, Sessions Support can help by switching them off - you must let us know if there is a problem.

  • I already have the tags for my own menus? Great! We can add our menus to your existing tags you just need to contact Support with an image of both tags, and we can switch them on for your Sessions menus.
