Bidfood Out of Stock Items

See below for the process of what occurs when an item is out of stock.

Out of stock at the time of placing an order:

If an item shows as Out of Stock (OOS) you should still add it to your basket as Bidfood Direct will automatically suggest a substitution for a product. Also, since its Day 1 ordering for Day 3 delivery, the item may come back in stock before the delivery and if not they will replace with the substitution. 

For our core items e.g., McCain fries, we have strict contingencies in place which will automatically be applied if the core item show as out of stock, so you won't need to find a replacement. 

 

Out of stock post-placing an order:

If an item is out of stock post-placing an order you will receive an email to notify if an item. You will also receive a call from telesales to advise. You can also email or call your depot who will confirm the substitution.

 

Refusing items at the point of delivery:

You can refuse items or the substitutions at the point of delivery and you will be credited for these. Please make sure to inform the driver ASAP if you want to refuse an item.

 

Items without a contingency:

  • Kerrymaid cheese
  • Five spice
  • Plum sauce
  • Sriracha
  • Olives
  • Spring rolls
  • Shredded duck
  • Gyozas
