Updating your rider instructions

Having a good relationship with the drivers is super important to ensure your food is delivered successfully to the customers. Therefore, having a low Rider Wait Time is also incredibly important.

To reduce the Rider Wait time you can make sure the instructions the riders have are correct and super detailed so it's easy for them to find you and it may reduce your rider wait time by a few minutes!

Deliveroo are tracking your rider wait time now, and if you have over 30% rider wait time you may be penalised and be suspended from Deliveroo for 60 days (or longer).

Examples of great rider instructions:

"Safe travels! Find us inside The Horse & Groom, next to the Fish & Chip shop and inside the blue door."

or

"Safe travels! Find us inside The Horse & Groom, follow the signs for SoBe Burger through the green door. Please bring a thermal bag."

How to update your driver instructions:

Uber tablet - Restaurant dashboard:

  • Tap on the question mark icon on the bottom left of the the dashboard
  • Tap on ‘Settings’ and select ‘Business information’
  • Here you can update your pick up instructions as needed.
  • Select ‘UPDATE’ to save any changes
