Beef Mince Changeover - February 2026

The Sessions Beef Mince is changing Bidfood code and pack size, moving from a 20KG case to a 16KG case.

Old: Code 30103 | SESSIONS HALAL CHUCK BEEF MINC | 10 x 2KG / 20KG | £173.12 | 118 burgers per case

New: Code 23830 | SESSION HALAL BEEF MINCE | 8 x 2KG / 16KG | £157.14 | 94 burgers per case

The current mince has not consistently met the quality standard we expect. The new product is a tried and tested blend that delivers a more juicy and tender patty, and we're confident it's a genuine improvement. We are also now sourcing from the UK and Europe, which reduces our carbon footprint and gives us more flexibility to meet demand.

Customers should notice a more juicy and tender patty. Chefs may find the mince easier to form, and the patties will have a bit more resistance when being smashed.

The price will increase on a per KG basis. This reflects the move to a higher quality product. We will continue to review our sourcing to keep pricing as competitive as we can.

We regularly review menu and item pricing to ensure it stays competitive and in line with national benchmarks. We are actively testing price tests across the menus to maximise margins, however it's important to analyse the impact of these tests to ensure it doesn't affect negatively impact your sales. Our aim is to find the right balance between maintaining strong margins and supporting sales. Further, by improving quality and keeping more customers, we can offset a small decrease in your per-order margin with an increase in the total take-home margin of your menu.

When your depot switches over, update your orders to code 23830, SESSIONS HALAL BEEF MINCE 8X2KG - we will let you know when this happens over email! If you still have old stock on site, use that up first. Once it's gone, the new code will be the only one available.

If the new mince isn't showing as available yet, it may just be a matter of stock reaching your depot. Check back shortly or reach out to Support through the Chat Bubble on the Sessions Dashboard.

We've been advised that Gourmet Selection Waffle Fries - currently used on Bangtan - have been temporarily de-listed by Bidfood.

As a result, Gourmet Selection Waffle Fries will be unavailable until March 2026 at the earliest.

In the meantime, please order the following alternative product:
