Hawkins Diner is an all American-inspired diner concept, transporting customers to a small town 80's diner immersed in the world of Stranger Things.
The menu will be exclusively available on Deliveroo, bringing exclusive benefits to attract more customers to your menus!

How will the training work? 🤔

We have built the Hawkins Diner menu around the Rudi's menu to make this new brand as easy as possible for you to operate.

The Hawkins Diner menu will be trained in virtually, which means one of our chef trainers will not be training your team before launch.

With this in mind, we have created training videos for almost all of our menu items, demonstrating the precise standards you need to achieve while operating the Hawkins Diner menu, then followed by a quiz to lock-in that knowledge! 🧠⚡️

📦 Packaging & Line Setup 📦

When everything arrives, start by unboxing your branded packaging - make sure you have enough stock of items you might already have had, and that it's easy to grab during service. Organise where to put your large greaseproof and small greaseproof ready for burgers or sides, so you're not rushing mid-service.

Lay everything out in the order you'll use it, from wraps to liners to stickers, with a clear flow from build > wrap > bag > go.

Take a moment to walk through how you’ll build an order during a rush. Every extra step adds seconds, and seconds matter when you’re busy. A smart setup now means faster, cleaner service later.

Finally, does your packaging station have staplers? Does it have black markers visible + accessible so staff know to use it to tick each item as they place into the takeaway bag? These are small details that make a big difference during the final mile of an order in your kitchen:

Final Thoughts:

Whether 5 orders or 50, each menu item should be made by your team in exactly the same way, with little or no variation between how each individual makes them.

A great way to test your kitchen team's consistency is to get each of them to make one core menu item, and see what differences, if any, come up when they do. If there are differences between the cooking methods or presentation, then you know exactly how and where to deliver additional staff training to keep everyone's standards the same.
