Solving Sessions Tablet Issues

What if my Sessions Tablet isn't working properly?

This article will explain common troubleshooting steps if you run into any issues with your Sessions Tablet.

1. Restart the Serve app

This is always the first step we recommend.

To restart the app:

  1. Tap the square icon in the bottom-right corner of your tablet

  2. Swipe the Serve app upwards to close it

  3. Tap Store on your tablet

  4. Reopen the Serve app from the Store screen


2. Fixing WiFi connection issues

WiFi problems are common - and often easy to solve.

Try the following:

  • Restart the tablet
    Turn the device off and on. This resolves most connection issues.

  • Restart your router
    Turn your router off, wait 5 minutes, then turn it back on.

  • Forget and reconnect to your WiFi network
    In your tablet’s WiFi settings, tap your network, select "Forget", then reconnect with your password.

  • Use Flight Mode trick
    Turn on Flight Mode, then restart the device. Once restarted, turn Flight Mode off and reconnect to WiFi.


3. Turn up the volume

If you’re not hearing order notifications, check your volume settings:

  • Go to Settings > Sound

  • Adjust the Media and Ring & Notification* volumes as needed

*At this time, it is not possible to change the order notification sound on your Sessions Tablet


4. Updating the Serve app

We’re always improving the Serve app to add features and fix bugs. Make sure your app is up to date.

To update the app:

  1. Close the app (tap the square icon and swipe it up)

  2. Go to Store

  3. Search for Sessions

  4. If there’s an Update button, tap it

  5. Reopen the Serve app from the Store

If no update is available, you already have the latest version.
