We’re reintroducing Mikos bowls across a small number of test sites using a new packaging solution designed to improve the customer experience.
Bowls were strong sellers, however they were previously removed due to consistent issues with execution and presentation against menu expectations. This relaunch is focused on fixing that.
If executed correctly, this will lead to higher ratings, more customer choice, and better sales. This is a controlled test across 20 sites before any wider rollout.
What's Changed - New Packaging
Bowls will now be served in a rectangular container with a clear lid. We will be sending these out to you free of charge.
This is designed to:
Make it easier to arrange all of the ingredients from the kitchen team, allowing the food to show more clearly on arrival
Improve integrity during delivery, impacting presentation on arrival
Match more closely what the customers see on the app
Training Video - How to Build the Bowl
⚠️ Important Note: if there is any variation between what the video demonstrates and what your kitchen team are sending out, then your overall ratings and sales will suffer. A bowl is either correct or not, there is no middle ground. You should be comfortable getting your team to remake an item if they do not follow the spec.
New Mikos Build Sheets
If possible, print these off and place them on your wall, otherwise you can use the old Mikos build sheets before we removed the bowls, as the ingredients are the same.

How to Track Mikos Bowl Performance (Test Period)
During this trial, you need to actively monitor how bowls are performing in your kitchen, through data and through team observation.
Focus on these three areas:
Ratings (Primary Signal)
Check your Mikos ratings daily on each delivery platform
Look for any drops after bowls go live
If ratings drop -> something in execution is off (presentation, accuracy, quality).
Customer Feedback
Review customer comments and reviews daily
Pay attention to anything related to:
- Presentation
- Missing/wrong items
- Food quality on arrival
Written feedback should be acted upon and corrected immediately.
Inaccurate Orders / Missing Items
Track your inaccurate orders % daily
Bowls/new menu additions increase complexity - mistakes here will rise if not controlled
If this increases -> recheck builds, portioning, and final checks before driver handoff.
⚠️ Important Note: if any issues arise it is your responsibility to take corrective action immediately; rewatch and reshare the training videos, check the team builds against spec, and reset standards with your team as often as you need to, otherwise issues can compound quickly and negatively affect your entire menu.
Closing Thoughts:
Please ensure you review the materials with your team, oversee the implementation of the updated methods, and reinforce standards during every shift. Consistency is what drives performance, and it relies on active oversight - not assumption.
